I am delighted to write this letter in support of Joanna Scott, a highly talented and dedicated artist whose creativity and commitment have had a profound impact on the Hertfordshire community. Joanna's professionalism and originality make her a standout artist. Her ability to seamlessly blend artistry with community engagement has been an asset to Hertfordshire Libraries. She possesses a rare combination of artistic talent and organisational skills that enable her to not only create captivating artwork but also effectively collaborate on projects that benefit her community. I have had the pleasure of witnessing Joanna's exceptional skills and passion first-hand during her collaboration with writer Anna Reynolds on the "Graphic Novel Me" workshops. These sessions, which they delivered together, were nothing short of inspiring. The sessions were well received by participants of all ages and encouraged them to express their own stories and memories in graphic novel form. Joanna's artistic vision and ability to engage participants were instrumental in the success of these sessions. The original "Graphic Novel Me" session was run in Welwyn Garden City library and proved so popular that we were able to programme another three events afterwards. Joanna also collaborated with Hertfordshire Libraries on our Arts Council England National Lottery Project Grant funded project, My Story. Her expertise in planning and preparing artistic events were invaluable. Her contribution went beyond expectations as she not only brought her artistic flair but also helped to promote our artistic residencies to her extensive network and contacts within the local community of social prescribers. I have no doubt that Joanna's passion for art, coupled with her strong work ethic and collaborative spirit, will continue to make a positive impact wherever her artistic journey takes her. I wholeheartedly recommend Joanna Scott for any artistic projects or work. Her inventiveness, excellent communication skills and dedication to her craft make her an invaluable contributor to any creative venture.

Joanna is a wonderfully creative illustrator, very engaging, great fun, and a delight to work with. I wanted to be able to work with an illustrator, not to just hand over a manuscript. I've worked with Joanna on two children's brands, Paddington Bear and The World of Dinosaur Roar. Her illustration styles were ideal for both briefs. She brought to life the pose ideas for Paddington Bear in an accurate and charming way. And her skill at line art was ideal for translating the CGI Dinosaur poses into a more accessible format for a series of activity videos. Always on time and lovely to work with.
